A Canterbury or paper rack was built for a client recently out of Brazilian Mahogany which, unfortunately, is not an forest friendly wood. The clients initials were DW and this was reflected in the centre section of canterbury (see photo). The legs and top rails were also fluted and the drawer had a Cedar of Lebanon base.

We have recently designed and built a 5ft long side board in Pembrokeshire Oak for a Client in Swansea. The two outer doors were glazed with sand blasted glass to match existing furniture and the centre door was clear glass. The handles and feet were fluted to complement the feet on a three piece suite.

Dresser

The Welsh Dresser was constructed of English Beech. The doors have fielded panels and the drawers were dovetailed. Brushed steel handles were fitted to match existing furniture.

Mahogany Side Table

The side table was built of Mahogany with rule joints between the top and the side leaves. The top and drawer front were inlayed and the drawer had a Cedar of Lebanon base.

Rocking Chair

The rocking chair was built in beech with a flowing curved back and was designed with no right angles. All joints were mortise and tenon. The chair was finished with bees wax.

English Walnut Hall Table

The Hall Table was designed for a modern house with a small hall. It was constructed of English Walnut which is usually reserved for high quality gun making. The drawer was dovetailed and has a Camphor Laurel base.

Pine Chest of Drawers

The pine chest of drawers was designed to complement a late 19th Century chest of drawers. The seven drawers contain in excess of 100 dovetails and were configured to give a contemporary feel as it was for a modern house.
